The Ayung River is Bali's longest river, flowing 68.5 km from Kintamani to Sanur along the southern slopes of the mountains that separate the northern and southern regions of Bali. The river, which flows through the western side of Ubud and offers spectacular jungle scenery, is a prime rafting location. After being picked up from your hotel, our driver will take you to our rafting center.
Our professional ubud rafting guide will greet you to register for your rafting activity and help you don all your rafting gear, including a helmet, life jacket, and paddle. You will then be taken to the Ayung River, where you will walk for 10 minutes through rice paddies and jungle to reach the starting point. Our professional river guide will provide safety instructions before starting the trip.
The Ayung River rafting course is categorized as easy and suitable for beginners and children. The Ubud River rafting course is 10 km long and will take approximately 2 hours to complete. Along the way, you'll enjoy the Ayung River rapids, which offer spectacular natural scenery, beautiful forests, waterfalls, and intricate riverbank carvings. Our rafting guide will suggest several stops for photos or to buy fresh coconuts. After your rafting experience, our guide will escort you to the car and return you to the main point for showers, lunch, and then back to your hotel.

Bali Rafting Detail Itinerary
- Free pick-up is available (central Ubud area only) or self-drive to the Ubud Rafting Bali registration point.
- Arriving at the registration point, register by filling out the registration and insurance forms. Lockers are available for your valuables, or waterproof bags for personal items like money and cameras if you want to bring them on the river. Put on your life jacket, helmet, and grab your paddle.
- There will be a 5-minute drive and a 5-minute walk through rice paddies, descending into the valley to reach the Ayung River bank.
- Your professional rafting guide will brief you on safety standards and provide all instructions before embarking on your Ayung River adventure and enjoying a 2-hour rafting experience. You can stop by the riverbank to relax, admire hidden waterfalls, swim, or buy fresh coconuts from local riverside stalls.
- Upon arrival, board the shuttle and drive to the restaurant where showers, towels, and changing rooms are available before lunch.
- A buffet lunch is served. You can enjoy a cup of Balinese coffee or tea before returning to your hotel.
